I have only just been introduced to the ExtractFace tool and have been having trouble with some of the features.
At first I had issues because the MozRepl add-on is not compatible with the latest version of Firefox. Once I downloaded an older version of FF, I was able to start MozRepl and some of the ExtractFace features began to work. However, Dumping Friends has been unsuccessful. I consistently get the error message, "Process Crash: command timed out." Any ideas?
Will ExtractFace ever work with the newer versions of FF?
Thanks!!

Hi,
Extractface use MozRepl to automate Firefox on Facebook. "timed out" errors usually mean Extractface didn't get response from Firefox. This could be for many reasons. Is this happening on a big page? Does Firefox seems to respond when you try to manipulate it normally? Is it slow? If the problem is a big page, you can try disable images in Firefox (se other posts on this forum). If the page has normal size, be sure your Firefox is clean as possible. Close unused tab, disable unused addon, empty cache, etc.
Extractface depends on MozRepl, a legacy addon that is not supported on newer versions of Firefox. Based on Mozilla website, Firefox ESR 52 will be supported until September 5 (last version will be 52.9.0). After that time, the only way to continue to use ExtractFace will be to disable update and run an outdated version of Firefox.
I've tested some solutions, but didn't find any that would allow me to maintain all the functions and options. I hope to have better news in a near future!
